Lead with identity and intent

Put your name, a professional headline, and contact details at the top. Do not waste this space on a full address or a photo unless your market requires it.

A short headline under your name instantly frames your target. Think 'Product Manager focused on growth' rather than just 'Product Manager'.

Order sections by relevance, not chronology

If your work history is strongest, lead with experience. If you are switching fields, lead with skills or projects that prove you can do the job.

  • Summary or headline first
  • Experience or skills next, depending on the role
  • Education, certifications, and extra sections last

Keep each section scannable

Use clear headings, consistent spacing, and bullet points for achievements. Dense paragraphs make it easy for readers to skip the very accomplishments that could win you the role.
